I told him my goal was 6%. He looked at me and said "Ok...well that's going to be A LOT of work." And wrote down "6% body fat" on his sheet under goals. He is going to kick my ass at my next workout :nervous:

You are no where close from your pics, just sayin.

You need to get that stuff checked.

yeah I know. I have made changes to my diet. I did so about a month ago. I went over it with him and he says it's spot on.

I didn't buy the fat measuring thing you posted swaggs I measured last year on a body fat scale, don't know how accurate it was and I was about 17%

the scales are ok. Generally they get a fairly accurate reading of your legs and use it to estimate the rest of you. Could be off by 3% or more. The hand-held ones do the same thing but with your upper body. If your fat distribution is even then it should be pretty accurate. The best ones combine scales and a hand-held unit so it gets your whole body. But again these are still only estimates.

Bioelectric Impedance (scales and hand-held) < calipers < hydrostatic weighing < DEXA

I can tell you those scales are not accurate at all. Josh's (westcoatstyle) ex-wife had one when we were in AL and I tired it out. It said I was 22.3%. A couple of days later i went to the gym and got in the tank and came out at 6.98%

wow that's a big difference. I would imagine that either they had a really shitty scale or it was broken. They aren't normally off by that much (unless you carry all 6.98% of your body fat in your legs :rofl

6% body fat is freakish. That's like Shannon Sharp in his peak. If you think of most actors/athletes/whatever that are ripped, they're probably closer to 10%.

it depends on how much muscle they carry. You could take two people and the one with the lower % body fat could actually have more fat...they would just need a ton more muscle. I got down to about 6% body fat at one point. I had about the same amount of fat as I do now. I didn't look ripped I just had about 30 more pounds of muscle and a thin layer of fat over all of it.

I bet most MMA fighters are under 10%
