i just talk a lot of shit and see how they respond. or i make sarcastic comments about myself to see how gullible/sharp they are. if theyre dumbasses, i work from there and have fun. or if theyre quick and catch on to what i'm doing, i have fun from there.

the normal, how are you doing, what do you do shit is lame and boring.

Yeah so if you're just starting to talk to someone how do you further the conversation without being a smart-ass or a prick? I get stumped sometimes on what to say, especially to women.

It's good if you can laugh at yourself sometimes, or like make fun of yourself a little. I mean don't put yourself down but if you do something stupid don't sweat it. Just laugh it off.
Most people evan tho they may seem snobby or whatever, will be responsive if you are genuine. Although there are those who just wake up and say who can I embarrass today... Bastards...

notice anything about them.. what theyre wearing, what car they drive.. if theyre comfortable, or nervous.. try to find something you have in common or somethin that might spark an interesting conversation.. keep a smile, and more often than not if you make yourself open theyll open up and a conversation will start. and dont expect to keep asking questions, let them ask questions too.. nobody likes gettin the 3rd degree. if theyre not responsive to you, forget it.. its not worth it. but dont be an ass, jus smile and go on w/the night.

I never had social problems, I'm a social butterfly, but I know if he joined one, he would be more social.

from my experience, fraternity/sorority people are the worst when they were nerds/losers in high school and join an organization solely for the purpose of socializing. they become an over-extrovert and become the 'stereotypical' greek.

you lose sight of who you are and become ungenuine and labeled according to your letters. you lose personality and individuality too, ESPECIALLY to those who knew you before. that is *if* you were anti-social before and make a drastic change, after you join.

it gets real weird, esp among old friends and new. :dunno: i speak based on observations.

so, figure yourself out before joining is my motto. it looks real stupid if ur a really shy person, then come out of your shell after u join. people will look at you in a different light
