Transformers collectors ... sign in again
From SOC
"The red foot is due on the 10th of March. I have pictures of the sample, which I will email you when I get home. With some help from my customers, I will determine a very reasonable price for the crystal cassettes. I will let you know by tomorrow, so you may place the orders together."
Let's throw him some pricing suggestions for the tapes? Andrew, i'm looking at you for this

Andrew...from my comic book collecting days, I've got the comic book where Spider Man gets that black alien suit.

Before I was old enough to be a retro toy nerd, I was a comic book nerd. I think I have every Spiderman comic from 1990-1992 or something like that.

I think the colored web was for a later issue, #7 maybe? :dunno:

Comics was my first bout of collecting. I have multiples of the McFarlane Spiderman from 1-20something. I also have lots of Image stuff (wildcats, supreme, Spawn...) I should probably get rid of those now.

I had some good storylines during the span that I collected...cosmic Spidey, Venom, Carnage, etc. I remember stopping one or two issues after the Maximum Carnage mega-money scam that spanned all Spidey titles and introduced a 235908138094th title.
Anyway, they need to make a Spiderman toy based on McFarlane or Larsen.
Oh god, don't get me started on comics. I used to go to comic conventions to get stuff signed.
I <3'ed the artwork in comics, so I closely followed all the Marvel mutant series books ... except for the Avengers and Alpha Flight. Then all the top names took off, so I followed. I have the first rounds of Image (Wetworks, Wildcats, Gen13, Spawn, Savage Dragon, Cyber Force, etc).
The art in the Marvel books started to suffer, so I moved onto Valient comics (where Adam Keith moved to).
Then I stopped all together when everything got too expensive. I had a pretty impressive hard core streak going ... 1989 to 1992-ish. From 1986 to 1989, I collected ... but never really paid attention to what I was buying.
Memorable books
Batman: Hunt The Dark Night
Batman: Death in the Family (where Robin dies)
Batman where Bane cripples him
Death of Superman (bagged, newstand version)
Marvel's Infinity Wars
The new series runs ... Xmen #1 with 4 covers ... Spiderman in the webs ... fuggin X-Factor with the bagged cards
oh the memories.
I have a Jim Lee signed X-Men poster ... I think I'm going to hang that when I get home.
it's of this comic cover, but of all the characters in one.
