at one of the Botcons, a display of all Transformers was shown. To complete the display table, the colletion owner opened a Grand Max on the spot. (not Fort Max, not Brave Max, GRAND)

Botcon is not the place to go for deals. You'll be paying retail for all toys. It's worth it for the discussion panel, guest appearances, and exclusive figures.

Keep in mind, the exclusive bagged figures (not the box set) ran about 8X more expensive than it's shelf counterpart.

Energon Towline was repainted to look like Ironhide and Ratchet ... each figure sold for $60 or $80 (can't remember) Same goes with Energon Arcee. She was repainted for Botcon, and her bagged figure ran $40.

If you purchased the box set, I think that was $500.

I find that conventions have the craziest people. I've only been to one or two conventions for other hobbies, but maybe 5% of the people are into it just enough to go, while a good 60% or more are way into it and will dress up. That's just too much for me.

Unicron, I want out of my house
the beater eHobbys ... I'm trying to draw some decent offers. There's NO WAY I'm ever going to sell at the BIN price ... but you never know. The listing fees per auction were a mere $.45 ... so now is the time to screw around.
I know someone who's interested in that WWE set...do you think you can give him a deal?

I guess I'm in. At first I was like no way, but the dealer worked his magic.

The clear tapes have no price yet. :hs:

The 87.50 price was placed on Primes "in stock". (red with yellow, red with blue, and black) We're not sure what the exact price is on red foot.

$3.91 ($3.50 + 3% + .30 trans fee), but don't worry about that just yet. I'll just run a tab for later.

Agreed. I like the toys, I like collecting ... I don't like drawing intellectual parallels between Optimus Prime and real life. I'm not saying that's what happens at Botcon, but it gets to a point where you have to realize, it's a hobby.

$32? :hs:
This retailed for $30 at Wal-Mart in December. Some stores put them on clearance, some stores never got them. $32 is about retail price + tax, shipped for free. With Hart entering the WWE Hall Of Fame in March, all Bret merchandise is sky rocketing in value.

:hugglez:

remember, this is going to be truly rare ... a freak piece to any TF collection. We'll all have them, but the majority of the population will be asking ... where the hell did you get that?

Original Cassettes
1. Suba - Rumble (red) / Busszsaw (gold)

Crystal Cassettes
1. e3NiNe - Frenzy (blue) / Laserbeak (red)
2. e3NiNe - Rumble (red) / Busszsaw (gold)
3. Suba - Frenzy (blue) / Laserbeak (red)
4. Suba - Rumble (red) / Busszsaw (gold)
5. Amst - Frenzy (blue) / Laserbeak (red)
6. Amst - Rumble (red) / Busszsaw (gold)
7. Monk - Frenzy (blue) / Laserbeak (red)
8. Monk - Rumble (red) / Busszsaw (gold)
9. Monk - Frenzy (blue) / Laserbeak (red)
10. Monk - Rumble (red) / Busszsaw (gold)
11. Reno - Frenzy (blue) / Laserbeak (red)
12. Reno - Rumble (red) / Busszsaw (gold)
13. Eggy - Frenzy (blue) / Laserbeak (red)
14. Eggy - Rumble (red) / Busszsaw (gold)

These 14 buyers are all pending price estimates. It's safe to say that if the price is anywhere close to $30 per unit, this number is bound to drop off. If it's around $15 per unit, the list will grow.

if the bits are metal, then expect to pay more ... if the bits are plastic, it should be much less.

He's going to think about it. I did a quick search on ebay and $32 seemed pretty accurate. I only found one going for $29 shipped.

just let him know I'm a complete bastard when it comes to grading items ... this set is really flawless. It has one rolled corner, but not crushed or smashed.

Since it could only come from Wal-Mart, it's an absolute miracle the toy is in this shape. The stock people are terrible when handling merchandise.
