Default shock installing

i just put on my ground controls this weekend, and i could not get one of the bolts out. i found my way around it, but i have to get it out to do my shocks.
On the rear shocks, i couldnt get the bolt out of the bottom of the shocks. i think the nut is supposed to be welded to it, but i got it off. the bolt would not come out no matter what i did. i tried backing it out with a big gun. i beat the hell out of it with a hammer. i also used PB blaster. i was told it may be stuck to the bushing inside the rubber ****. is there a way to get it loose other then cutting the whole thing out?
Or would it be easier to just get the camber kit with my shocks, because if im not mistaken, the camber kit includes te entire lower control arm, therefor i wouldnt need to remoce the bolt. butmy camber doesnt seem to be bad, so id rather not buy the camber kit if not needed. please help if you can, thanx.

You might have to cut it out and have a new bushing pressed in... It's a *****, it's real common. I cut the end off my bolts and used an air chisel to get it out... Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Take it to a shop, tell em to get it free so you can install teh new shocks, and it shouldn't be too expensive. That or get a bushing press and do it yourself... Try a torch, big breaker bar, etc...

Unfortunately, as they said, a typical camber kit is not a solution to your problem because they usually replace the upper control arm, not the lower control arm. If the bolt is in fact stuck to the metal sleeve in the rubber bushing and nothing you can do will free it, you have to cut or melt and replace those parts. If you want to go the more expensive route, some companies like SRR make replacement LCA's but I don't even know if they come with bushings or not.

Go to Home Depot and buy a MAPP Torch for $40. You use it to heat up the bolt, the bolt will get very hot and start to melt the rubber bushing around it, once you see smoke spray it down with some WD40 or PB Blaster and use a breaker bar. It has worked everytime I have done that.

It won't melt it instantly. It will just melt the frozen/attached part of it. As long as you don't put the flame on the actual bushing or hold it there forever you will be fine.

Default Shocks

Hey there, if you dont plan on changing your shocks you can just remove the whole lower control arm with the shock attached to it and install your GC springs on that, rather than go through the delima(spellcheck)of pressing the bushing out. The bushing isnt available as a separate part from HONDA, you would have to purchase a new LCA if you somehow screwed up that bushing. Also there is a aftermarket company that sells the bushing, but I dont remember the brand.
