Lowering is easy and paint I will agree on.

You sure about those curb weight differences? The Forester is a much smaller platform than the IW is, doesn't make sense if thats the case.

From wikipedia:

GC impreza = 2690 (not sure if thats a wagon or sedan)
1st gen forester = 3150

:edit: I think the forester and the impreza are both the same platform, but the forester just has more sheet metal and windows tacked on

forester/impreza/outback. All the same platform. The forester got different shocks/struts for a bit more ride height, and obviously bit different in the body.

huh, I thought the Forester was it's own platform.

Weird I wouldn't have guessed...of course I never asked either.

hood/headlights/front bumper cover/fog lights/LSD rear end would be more appropriate.
