I know thats my point, wouldn't it be easier to close at 9:30 then when someone walks in at 9:28 no one is furious? (assuming it takes half an hour to feed someone).
The employees just feel like time of close means the time they leave. I think thats wrong. When I worked food service, we were scheduled like 1.5 hours after close, so I didn't mind at all.
it'd be the same thing. showing up 2 minutes before service ends sucks for the staff. the place could stop serving at 6:00 and if someone showed up at 5:58, it's the same thing.
people aren't scheduled until a certain time, they are scheduled until all their tables are gone.
Then you should've told your idiot boss that the best way to prevent this kind of BS is to close the kitchen 1 hour before closing time. it's really not that hard to think a solution for this problem. Most reataurant will have a kitchen closing time. Actually here they have a reduce menu time, then a kitchen closing time...
yea we did
it's called i refused service at 10 to close
as kitchen manager i can make that call. still get the people who come in and bitch though because technically you still open
at the end of the day though it comes down to common courtesy
you are either going to be polite and not go in or only think of yourself and how hungry you are and say fuck em to the employees. nothing going to change about that
fuck that... if i'm last minute to pick up something at walmart i'll take my fucking time. I'll appoligize maybe if the service is good but i wont feel bad. I have to stay back sometimes at work you dont hear my crying about it. it's part of having a fucking job.
they'll turn the lights out and kick you out if you're taking too long.
