rule of thumb. Never go to a restaurant within 15 minutes of closing. I know they are open until 8 or whatever, but as common courtesy I try not to roll up into a restaurant right before close. They are all ready to close up, and the last thing they wanna do is make your ass food in a well prepared manner h:
h:anyway...who cares about presentation?! Especially on Chinese take-out.

h:I used to hate those people who would come in under 15 minutes to close and order the most complicated thing on the menu every time, or even worse a party order

i went to an Indian restaurant that was open for another hour. they said i could only get takeout cause they didn't want to wait for me and my 3 friends to finish eating, so they could go home. i fucking lost it and flipped out on them. my friends calmed me down and we went next door to a shitty "high class pub". got done in a half hour and i went back to the Indian restaurant h: lets just say i can't go there anymore.

h:Yup. Unless your server was in cool with the kitchen, you could forget about any complicated meals coming out on-time or at all.
