Banks are going through tough times. All the tellers and Customer Service people that I know at my bank got their nsf/overdraft fee reversals revoked. Only the manager can do it, and from what I heard they'll only reverse half or a partial fee.

that's why lots of places don't accept personal checks...banks have always charged a fee for a bounced check. I don't even deal with checks and I know that. :eh:

I do. That's how I know. I've been charged the same type of fees at several banks.

Kinda lame. I've never heard of being charged for someone else's bounced check, only your own!

I'm gonna try to go to the bank tomorrow.

Wells Fargo bent me over so bad recently, I'm going to begin using a credit card to pay for my bills and transfer funds from checking to credit. No more automatic anything, and no checks except for rent.

It's not what you know
It's not WHO you know
It's who knows YOU.

I'd go to the teller you know best, that is on good terms with the manager. Having chilled people on your side only helps, especially if this is something that NEVER happens to you.
