So with that logic, we can easily discredit any religion and/or god. Just find one thing that they state as fact and all we have to do is not like it.

Who the fuck is Moses? Just because he chisled some stones we are to take that as fact?

Basically what it boils down to is the same age old arguement, taking faith and unproven facts as the way things are and not believing things even when they are layed out right in front of you.
yeah, sure, he might have more credit than me, but when did i ever claim to release stats of my own research?? even if i did, i wouldnt blame others for discrediting it because i admit, i will probably be slightly biased if i were to conduct my own study of this. therefore.... you still obviously havent understood my first response... i'll only take stats from an unbiased third party, and it cant be just one study done and/or a small group of subjects either.

it seems almost every outspoken-anti-religion person is on the same immaturity level as every outspoken-pro-religion person.

and dont mix your dislikes and train of thoughts with mine. i never once said that i disliked the study results or disagreed with it. i plainly stated that i will only accept results from an unbiased third party..... like i said before..... twice.

You say unbiased third party, like who? A Dr from Yale? A mom working the 3rd shift at an assembly plant in Alabama? CNN? Yahoo?

Who is this magical third party that will make everything ok for you?

Black and white reality alert:

Because these researchers reached a scientific conclusion that prayer did not benefit people, that must mean that they hate all religious people, hate America, hate pizza, ice cream, puppies, and kittens, and in addition purposely performed this research to discredit religion.

haha... obviously it's never on purpose... but i mean there is no such thing as "unbiased" anymore... there is such thing... but it isn't released.

generally when scientific research is done... someone has to pay for it. If the researchers were smart... they would tweak and play with the results as much as they could so they could continue to have the money just roll in.

im not stating that because this specific doctor is from harvard that he's biased. im simply stating that we (at least on this board) dont have his background info and purpose for this study. if he ends up being unbiased and doing the research just for the sake of research, then so be it. i have no problems with it. like i said, i never claimed to dislike or disagree. i just wont believe it until i know more.

you're amusing sometimes. over-the-top responses are humorous.....sometimes. but, to your credit, i bet you are a good speaker. reading all your past posts/threads, whether i agree or not, i can say that you make it easier for people to join your side of the issue. but then again, a lot of self-proclaimed preachers/evangelists also have the same techniques and character as you.
