so let's see, one of the most liberal schools, in one of the most liberal cities, in one of the most liberal states... yeah.

could you elaborate on this.... im just confused about a couple parts.

"praying to the wrong person?" are you stating that if someone says jesus and the other prays to god... then they are different people

also you said that "praying to God" does that mean that prayers within other religions wouldn't work.... but prayers to this mystical being you call "god" will work?

i have no problems with your beliefs i am just trying to understand you better

They will give up on the battle because their maker would be there for them to fix it...

[/religious flamesuit].. just a thought :dunno:

i was trying to stay out of this discussion. but since i've been in this situation and no one commenting here has been i thought i'd give my 2 cents.

im with what this guy said, but i believe the reason they didnt do so well is cause they maybe gave up because they had people praying for them.

for me i had lots of different churches praying for my recovery, and i also had alot of faith i would get better. and alot of will power to keep going on everyday knowing i would get better. and so far i've come a long way, shit for a while there i thought i would never go back to mynornal life style, and so far i have for the most part. i stopped using the wheelchair, my strength is up alot! and im going out when ever i can sure im not 100% back but i have faith in God that one day i will.

He conducted a survey and posted his results. Him being a Dr and from Harvard gives him a ton more credit than you, that's for damn sure. Maybe you don't like the results so you'll just find any excuse to try and discredit the whole thing.

So with that logic, we can easily discredit any religion and/or god. Just find one thing that they state as fact and all we have to do is not like it.

Who the fuck is Moses? Just because he chisled some stones we are to take that as fact?

Basically what it boils down to is the same age old arguement, taking faith and unproven facts as the way things are and not believing things even when they are layed out right in front of you.

if u prayed to Zeus, with the same amount of faith, would the outcome still be the same?

the outcome wouldn't change... it's the personal willpower

if you prayed to akwahoinoise dabi... it would giveyou the same effect as if you prayed to jesus christ...

but the thing is ... where your faith lies, is also probably where you will derive your willpower from. so in a sense it may change it
