You can always go with a meal supplement that has more calories and fat and stuff in it, as well as the Protein, *and* tastes good.

Problem with those, they cost more and they have the Calories/Fat that you might not want, although a lot of people love them.
:werd:

whey protein is often more potent than other proteins as well.

personally, i take meal replacement type shakes during the day, and the regular milkshake stuff before bed

well here is the thing with protein some type are fast digesting and others are slower. Whey protein is fast digestion so u take it before a work out, and whey helps prevent muscle break down while working out, do to raising the insulin levels in ur body. (id take it about 90-85 minutes before workout)

really the best thing to mix ur whey pre workout protein with is apple juice do to its easy abosrbing carbs. will give u more energy when working out.

for post work out u need a whey-casein meal replacment portein, with fruit, to keep the insulin levels high to help ur muslces repair and produce growth hormone. they whey burns off fast so the casein will be slower digesting. i take it with some honey to help replenish some carbs. (i take it right after i get back from the gym).

eating chicken, tuna, meat is still needed along with the powder. for getting more muscular u need close to 300g of protein a day.

i read this stuff out of M&F so no bull shit.

those fats are crucial for muscle build and cell replication (acidic fat in fish actually burns off monounsaturated fats like from grease)...fats from nutts, fish, olive oil, are not harmful fats...having at least 7 almonds a day can help rid of "stubborn fat"...in most cases, carbohydrates (bread, pasta, etc) can make for more body fat than a hefty amount of "healthy" fats

stopped with my creatine and protein during this time as it would just go to waste anyway.

I've lost lean mass and gained fat - i eat like i'm still working out 10-15 hours a week
last thing you wanna do when laying off the waits is stop with the protein, protein helps build as well as maintain muscle mass...protein is a suppliment, not a steroid, it doesnt just aid with working out, but helps for a healthy body and lifestyle

thats incorrect **** bro, firstly...your body cannot digest more than 25 grams of protein, it flushes it out...most of that would go to waste, and although protein is crucial for muscle gains, it can be harmful to the liver and requires at LEAST 2 gallons of water per day (and if your gonna go as far as triple the average pro athlete consumption of 100g, your going to need to drink more than that, as most of it is going to be flushed our of your system)...if you do see guys who consume that much, they will often times be accompanied with creatines, which fills the muscle with WATER, and NOT lean muscles (which last longer, and are stronger)...essentially, creatine gains are just liquids and will "deflate" after you stop using them...a true waste

Where did you get your info for:
1.) 25 grams protein/sitting
2.) protein is harmful to the liver
3.) creatine does nothing but fill muscles with water
I have to admit that I disagree with you but I'm willing to listen.

i thought it was a known fact that creatine helps the muscles absorb water.

I tried stawberry and it was so nasty I felt like puking even with milk. Vanilla and chocolate are relly good with milk. Vanilla, Milk and OJ and Banana's for a nice smoothie
