I took creatine and worked out/jogged religiously, 2 hours, 4 days a week, for 6 months and got big FAST. It works. I used the drink shit - tasted like ass

Biceps increased by 2 inches, chest by 3, waste went from flab to 4 pack (no increase or decrease in size though)

Creatine will build you up but won't make you stronger "endurance" wise. But then again, I maxed out with short reps. It tears the muscle and builds more layers quicker.

i use micronized creatine (dymatize brand), on 21-30 day cycles including a loading period. i noticed greater stamina/less fatigue, which helps you get more reps and sets in. it also helps the muscles retain water to appear fuller.

anyway my personal belief with supplements is to start using them after you get a solid routine down. let your body get used to regular weight training, then add in supplements later.

it seems like everyone here is gungho about supplements, without really weight training first?

after reading what rich said i agree with him

I am in a cutting phase right now in my work out, so no building, diet and major cardio are my goals now.

Looks like Baget beat me to it
my work at ups is a pretty good upper body workout. i use my biceps, triceps, delts, pecs, and lattismus rigorously. i used to get sore my first two weeks, and i felt that "burn" for a few weeks after that, but i dont really feel it anymore. but i guess i should go on a strict weight training regiment for at least a few weeks before i get on that creatine. and when i do, i'll prolly do cell-tech again, but i'll do half the dosage, because they reccomend servings about twice as big as everybody else :ugh:

i suppose i'll start using whey protein supplements right away when i start weightlifting tho. does that sound feasible??

I voted that I don't use it but it's not true that I don't recommend it...

Very good point. I'm only starting my 4th week and my n00b gains have been pretty decent. If I were taking something like creatine, I'd be tempted to think that that's what's helping me when in fact, my body has so far improved in both size and strength by itself.

I don't claim to be an expert but I hear that premade drinks that supposedly contain creatine are junk. :happysad: Apparently, after being in solution for so long, it breaks down into the waste product creatinine (exactly what CvcExCoupe was describing). But good job with the gains.

Sounds good to me. Some people will disagree but I tend to think of Whey protein powders simply as food.

yeah, no harm in taking whey protein. i also think of it as a food. to me supplements are things like creatine, glutamine, HGH, andro, etc. i also agree that creatine is most effective in powder form, especially when taken with a high carb fluid like grape juice.
