becareful with buying an auto...they mess up if not cared for. get it checked out, if you can, by a local shop.

yeah, the h22 in a civic idea is mainly if you want the civic to go in a STRAIGHT line...they do a damn good job of doing that.. but once you throw some turns at it, not so great. i've heard this from alot of people and experienced it first hand

Well a Honda's auto is better than all the Ford auto's I've ever had the joy of dealing with. Not fixing but seeing the probs.

i have watched two civic hb's with h22a's race road track and out handle rx7's so i think you could do the swap but do you want a nice car for show that is also fast or do you want a strait up race car.

That's a very good choice. Since is uses iVTEC, there is not a preset RPM at which VTEC engages, so it is seamless, and there is more low end torque as well. I've never driven one, but I've heard they are much more refined than Integra GSRs or even Preludes, which are the cars that the RSX-S is supposed to replace. There are plenty of modding options for you as well. I will say this -- I wish the Prelude had a six speed transmission, because the six speed on the RXS-S keeps the engine in the sweet spot in every gear. They aren't cheap, though. Since they're a relatively new model (2001), there's probably not very many used, and they sticker for almost 24,000 new. But, you get everything you could want on a car -- leather, in dash CD changer/cassette, moonroof, auto climate control, etc. Very nice car.

I drove a co workers are really like it. Stock there's a couple things that I would change, like the ride height. The seats, shifter, and motor were all so so nice. It moved very nice, shifted great, and felt amazing to sit in. Personally it seemed a much smoother power then my lude but I'm just about certain in most cases my lude would take it. However this guys car was stock with just about 2k on it when I drove it. The ride was a little cushy and too tall for me but that can be fixed If I had to buy a car today the RSX-S and Accord coupe V6 manaul would be a tough choice. The Accord has more hp, bigger motor, and bigger car but it's still somewhat a pig and too plastic on the inside. The RSX-S is a more nimble car but lacks the grunt of the 6. Very tough choice if I had to choose.

Get a nice 99 up base model, find a used OEM kit, some JDM fogs, lower it and you'll be very very happy.

well i read in the clubrsx.com forum and some people got it(RSX-s) for 23 out the door brand new. the only thing i dont like about the RSX is that it doesnt come wit HID and like wat fastball said its kinda too high. but those can be fix. i heard there also some problems wit the tranny. my friend got a brand new one and he said there too much probably. something about grinds in the tranny. oh well probably they fixed it for the 03s.

Acura actually offers a suspension/wheel/ground effects kit that lowers the car and gives higher performance tires. But its 4,000 installed at the dealer. It's nice because you get the Acura 4/50,000 warranty on everything, but you can definitely do better with strictly aftermarket modifications.

yeah i heard about that package. IMO its kinda rip off. 4g i can save so much if i get aftermarket. but i do like the OEM lips that they offer. but its like 400bucks each i think.
