I've never driven one, but I've heard they are much more refined than Integra GSRs or even Preludes, which are the cars that the RSX-S is supposed to replace. There are plenty of modding options for you as well. I will say this -- I wish the Prelude had a six speed transmission, because the six speed on the RXS-S keeps the engine in the sweet spot in every gear. They aren't cheap, though. Since they're a relatively new model (2001), there's probably not very many used, and they sticker for almost 24,000 new. But, you get everything you could want on a car -- leather, in dash CD changer/cassette, moonroof, auto climate control, etc. Very nice car.
I drove a co workers are really like it. Stock there's a couple things that I would change, like the ride height. The seats, shifter, and motor were all so so nice. It moved very nice, shifted great, and felt amazing to sit in. Personally it seemed a much smoother power then my lude but I'm just about certain in most cases my lude would take it. However this guys car was stock with just about 2k on it when I drove it. The ride was a little cushy and too tall for me but that can be fixed

If I had to buy a car today the RSX-S and Accord coupe V6 manaul would be a tough choice. The Accord has more hp, bigger motor, and bigger car but it's still somewhat a pig and too plastic on the inside. The RSX-S is a more nimble car but lacks the grunt of the 6. Very tough choice if I had to choose.
Get a nice 99 up base model, find a used OEM kit, some JDM fogs, lower it and you'll be very very happy.
