the clifford and viper alarm are identical, they are both DEI technologies.
DEI alarms get a thumbs up from me (these brnads include clifford, viper, python and others, check out the directed electronics website for more info)
as far as the immobilizers go, they are a peice of junk. the immobilizer isnt tied into anything, and the first effective honda immobilizer as far as i've heard was put into the rsx (something about it being tied with the ecu, the codes need to match otherwise the ECU won't let anything happen)
in my gsr i was suprised to find that the immobilizer was a unit that was based in the steering column that could easily be bypassed. i'd assume the same from the prelude.

BTW, those RSXs were hot wired on the pics. What gives? What can we create or invent to stop that shit from happening? Is LoJack the only answer?
the best method would be an alarm system with a GPS add-on. or an alarm system with different goodies.
a DEI system with the mini-piezo alarm can be a deadly match-- the alarm is so high pitched that it causes pain to those who hear it, plus if the power is cut to it with the right add-ons and switching devices it can stay on-- as long as it's charged--- there are also satelite linked GPS add-ons that will work nearly anywhere to be able to tell you where the car is.
Thanks guys, lots of interesting stuff here. Although, IMO if the thieves really want my car they will prolly tow it and I'll never see it again. The only way prolly is to get a GPS, it tell the last known location. I don't know guys, so many good points here, but so many ways to get around them. I simply don't know. Well, until the car is still missing the engine I will look into this more and see if I want to keep it or sell it and get a Prelude. But if I'm gonna put the engine in myself and it's going to be a b18, the choice is going to be a tough one
+ plus the leather interior !!!
