even lojack has flaws, your town or a nearby town has to subscribe to it otherwise you are out of luck.
the best method would be an alarm system with a GPS add-on. or an alarm system with different goodies.
a DEI system with the mini-piezo alarm can be a deadly match-- the alarm is so high pitched that it causes pain to those who hear it, plus if the power is cut to it with the right add-ons and switching devices it can stay on-- as long as it's charged--- there are also satelite linked GPS add-ons that will work nearly anywhere to be able to tell you where the car is.
