the clifford and viper alarm are identical, they are both DEI technologies.
DEI alarms get a thumbs up from me (these brnads include clifford, viper, python and others, check out the directed electronics website for more info)
as far as the immobilizers go, they are a peice of junk. the immobilizer isnt tied into anything, and the first effective honda immobilizer as far as i've heard was put into the rsx (something about it being tied with the ecu, the codes need to match otherwise the ECU won't let anything happen)
in my gsr i was suprised to find that the immobilizer was a unit that was based in the steering column that could easily be bypassed. i'd assume the same from the prelude.
