SH's are slower than bases but hardly, about 80 lbs heavier and that's taken care of with lightweight battery, wheels, and dumping the heavy ass factory exhaust. 0-60 times more like 6.7-6.8 with good tires and good launch. A gsr has absolutely nothing for a prelude once the ludes into 3rd gear, it's all over for the teg. GSR's are torqueless wonders and stand no chance on the highway against a lude. As far as comparing a teg ls to a lude, come the fuck on people we've been around the block 15 times and back we know better than that. If an H23 puts a hurtin on the ls the h22 will chew it up and spit it out like it was a brussel sprout! The only teg that will outhandle a type sh in stock form is the type R no ifs, ands, or buts about it!
As for torqueless wonders, the prelude is right there with the integra the lude needs more torque for its weight. As for the times posted on for the GSR and lude, its major wrong. The above is correct the lude 0-60 is about 6.8s with the GSR at about 7.1 and the 99-00 SI at 7.2. As for the quarter mile, I've seen the GSR at 15.8. My base ran stock at 15.1, and yes performance for the stock GSR and stock lude are similiar (neck and neck) until the end of 3rd gear, where the lude rips on the GSR (it not even funny), at least that is the scenario with every GSR (stock and lightly modded) that I ever raced stock. So lets get off this arguement, since the dude doesnt' want to do serious modding he should just get the lude and call it a day.

u know i think this argument is BS, everyone is bais about it u put this in the teg froum and it will be teg all the way, needless to say i have raced ludes on the track, and i have never been beaten, which is not to say that is a shittier car or anything like that, maybe they were just shitty drivers, and maybe the people that race GSR's and win our shitty drivers who knows. point been they are both nice cars, get over it!!, stop baggin on one or the other lets act like we are older then 2, and stop quoting Bull Sh**... What shmoo said is true and the otherdave, those are pretty much the average times now u can either deal with it or not that is up to everyone, but seirously both really nice cars, who cares which one is faster there is always someone with a faster car that is for certain

Those times I posted were from a Road and Track 1998 review of the two cars. I threw fact out and you guys threw biased opinion back at me. Yes, I drive a GSR so it is easier to digest the truth, but both cars are great cars, so why are we arguing?

If you are going to persuade someone to choose your side over another, at least have some facts to prove your point. I am sure most of you Prelude drivers have never driven or taken a GSR to its limits, so how can you say that your car will outhandle and outpower one?

I'm not quoting anything from a Road and Track, Car and Driver, or whatever, I'm telling you from straight up experience on the track, and one more thing I'm not putting down the GSR used to own one, plus own a 03 XRS that I would say is smidge quicker than the GSR as well. out of a group of buddies (grown up working on hondas and racing them) I'm the only one with a prelude/ owned a 94 GSR back in the day, so yes I've driven them and taken both cars to the limits. I'm not being biased about any of the cars if you read my posts clearly you would understand that, both cars have faults that would have made them better. Like I said before, the lude is a car best kept stock, and the teg is more mod friendly due to its large aftermarket, that is how I asked the guy to make his choice.

Ok I agree that the prelude is a little more original looking but it is fact that a gs-r integra vs the prelude both stock that the gs-r would win why is this so because the specs say so it a different story if you buy a ls rs or gs then the prelude all the way but the gs-r and type r stock will beat the preludes every time

there are not more parts for integras than preludes,at least not mechanically.its just as easy to find a huge variety of prelude parts as integra parts,as long as you know where to look.i agree with that statement as far as the exterior, but thats about it.by the way, when bmw comes out with a 200,240hp 2.2 engine thats not turbocharged there may be an argument, but for now......hondas shit on bmws and their damn v6 and v8's with little 4cyl vtecs.
