An aftermarket ECU is like a "one tune fits all" deal. It's like tuning a stock type-R on a dyno, programming it's ecu to make max power for that particular car, and selling that ecu to you for your ls or gsr. Obviously it's not nearly as effective as tuning your own car yourself, but it's a cheap way to get quick power if you only have a few mods. If I'm wrong please correct me

shingo..ure on the right tract...
imo...these chips are poormans vafc...
it increases air/fuel mixture at a certain point in the rpm...maybe some complicated ones do raise the redline <which is dumb for a stock car> or vtec crossover point...
they do not even know what types of mods u have...each mod makes each car different...
the best way to really tune ur car to achieve some hp is to get a v/afc n get it dyno tuned...<assuming u have more than a few bolt ons>

Just to let you know, the car is really fast now, with all my mods, I cant wait to go get it dyno'ed and see whats the real results.

Define 'really fast'. 'Cuz my definition of really fast, must be entirely different from yours. With the mods you've listed I'm guessing you'll still be 10 whp short of a stock GSR. I don't mean to make you feel bad or anything, but, please don't make your 'chip' out to be some miracle mod.

Well, at least that's good to hear; post a dyno plot if you get the chance

im not saying i have a 12sec integra, but what i am saying is that it is faster than what it was when it was driven of the dealers lot, and to me thats really fast, when before the car would barely move and now its jumps.

I don't trust any butt dyno figures,
People would feel new brake fluid gaving them more HP if they herd it on import boards enough times.
