Default ECU Chips

I've been looking online at some of the performance parts you can buy off of Ebay. While I was looking around I saw this thing called an ECU Chip, which from what I can guess just raises the rev limit to 8500 instead of 8000. Do these chips even work and are they bad for the engine? if they do work they sure seem like a good deal for $20.

Bad idea, not worth the cost, don't bother

There is a whole huge thread on the reasons, just do a search

Yeap, there's a huge thread near the top of this forum about ECU chips and their "worth". Hopefully this topic has been beat down into the dust

Shingo
