An aftermarket ECU is like a "one tune fits all" deal. It's like tuning a stock type-R on a dyno, programming it's ecu to make max power for that particular car, and selling that ecu to you for your ls or gsr. Obviously it's not nearly as effective as tuning your own car yourself, but it's a cheap way to get quick power if you only have a few mods. If I'm wrong please correct me

imo...these chips are poormans vafc...
it increases air/fuel mixture at a certain point in the rpm...maybe some complicated ones do raise the redline <which is dumb for a stock car> or vtec crossover point...
they do not even know what types of mods u have...each mod makes each car different...
the best way to really tune ur car to achieve some hp is to get a v/afc n get it dyno tuned...<assuming u have more than a few bolt ons>
