People are putting down 400~500hp on stock internals.

He detuned it cause he couldn't take the loud droning of the exhaust and i raced him in my civic. I walked him HARD, i'd say they are about as fast as a stock prelude bone stock on low boost.

and what do u consider low boost on a prelude?
or are we including JRSC preludes as well

a bone stock DET 240/silvia like you would buy from a dealership in japan is not really that quick. They probably run high 14's or so just out of the box. Everyone hears SR20DET and they are like WHOAAA but on 5-6 psi and stock exhaust they're nothing special.
a JRSC 6 psi lude is a good match for a stock T25 bpu DET powered 240 @ around 12-14 psi.
BTW i rode in my friends classic SER like mine with a t3/t04E @ 10 pounds tonight and the topend was NUTS! He trapped 106 on the puny stock T25 @ 9 psi, i'm more than willing to bet he can break 115 now. Man i can't wait to get my turbo parts on mine.

i suspected as much. he doesn't seem to be a really great driver. what pisses me off though, is that my friend with a prelude and jrsc could consistantly beat the itr by a car or two...while i pulled dead even with the itr the couple times we raced. now...i can consistantly beat the prelude by abot a car. so what's the deal???? i asked my friend with the itr...and he says he only drives well when racing me, and chirps into 3rd gear, which he supposedly doesn't do often. also (and i've had people in my car both times to vouch for me) it seems that he always jumps a split second before the third honk. oh well.

and that's why street racing is so unpredictable. Take it to the 1/4 and compare e/ts. I hope it's at least a full bolton ITR if you can only pull even to it and a JRSC prelude loses to it. On 8 psi i wouldn't even really bother racing them on the street, it'd just be 2-3 car rape by 90 or so.
From what i asses the JRSC even on the 6 psi pulley, boltons and a good tune should ape rape the itr if it's just boltons and you. You should be able to walk the ITR by a decent margin unless it's heavily modded with spray or some toda spec B's or better.
i'm pretty sure he has some internal work now. probably some VERY aggressive cams or something. he ALSO has just about every other bolt-on too though. he always claims that he spends all his money on looks, which is bs. he did do a jdm front-end conversion though and it looks very nice. his friend has an itr with intake/exaust/header/pulleys and i can beat him pretty bad.

When i trapped 106 i was only at 9psi on the t25, not 14.

My dad just happens to own an R and i can tell you even when my car was running like shit on the stock DE ECU with the T25 and many a ghetto rigged components, i could have still pulled the type R. There are a few freakishly quick bolt on R's out there but they are few and far between. Your average type-R with its average driver is going to probly run in the mid 14s maybe a bit lower if they get lucky.
