Well.. I didnt say it was stock. I said it was on Stock boost. Only reason I couldnt boost it higher is because my crap blitz bov was leaking. I have a Greddy boost controller. The only 'performance' mods I have on it are the intercooler and the full 3in exhaust. Or maybe I get a good gain from my turbo timer, motor mounts, and BOV...

dude 240sxer your a freakin troll. U dig up at dead thread from 6 months ago just to start some arguement. Stop making the nissan owners look bad. At least get your facts straight when you go on other forums to flame...

ok here are the facts.

FWD do have disadvantages against RWD, but it wont make up the 55hp diference between gst and NA 240sx.

Sorry to burst your bubble but 240sxer, ur sr20 240 isnt that much more superior than any other ITR out there. 240s and ITR are both very capable cars. And stock for stock i say theyd be even. all depends on driver and condition of the cars.

240sxs are not that much heavier than ITR. I think S14s are only heavier by no more than 200lbs. And S13s weight just as much as ITR.

Even on touge, the silvia performs just as well if not better than ITR. For drag race, ITRs wont have a chance if the SR 240 is boosting at 14psi. But in stock boost, ITR is even with silvia.

How do i know? I have an SR20 s14. My friend drives an ITR. We always go canyon run when we have time.

heres my S14 for those who are curious...

Ehh.. I just saw this thread and wanted to post here. Do you notice that this thread is the ONLY place I have posted in the forum? My facts are solid.

oh, you have a S14.. It's odd that you talk all that crap yet the only post you've made is the one whining about me. Yet you claim you have this s14.

You can bench race all you want. I live 20 minutes away from LACR and I actually get to see cars run. I saw a ITR running consistent 15.4-15.6, and I run mid to high 14s consistently. On my 'stock boost' SR.

Maybe some of you need to actually get out there and race. And stop just throwing up numbers. I talked to a guy at LACR with a Eclipse@GST 18psi running 15.4. Maybe LACR is a horrid track, but it's horrid for everyone equally.

What magazines claim and what cars actually run are night and day. Best i've ever seen a "stock" 99 series Civic SI at LACR was 16.9. I'll grand there is an altitude correction for 2700ft. But it's still a far cry from the claimed 15.7.

I invite anyone to come to LACR or anwhere in the AV to race me in their TypeR.

For some proof of this here is my friend's Supercharged Mr2 smoking a Civic Si at that track, the Si runs 17.4 the Mr2 runs 16.1. Isnt 17.4 a little slow for a car that runs 15.7 stock. Stop bench racing and get out there and really race. Just because your car has X amount of power, and weighs X does not nessisarily mean it's going to be X fast.

never said u got gains from the BOV
although since you have contradicted yourself a number of times now, you proved my point for me

Things that i say:
1. your a shmuck
2. your sr20det should be doing a little better than 14.4 (granted its on "stock" boost )
3. your sr20det is probably faster than most NA type-R's, although with your ET's i wouldnt be suprised if you lost more often than won against a modded integra type-r
4. your NA 240sx is/was and always will be a boat
5. unfortunately for you, an engine swap, 3" exhaust and the intercooler (i assume a front mount) means your car is no longer stock.
6. a leaky BOV is also your fault, and if you can see spending for a "full" 3 inch exhaust and an intercooler, while failing to fix your "leaky" blow off valve then that brings us back to point #1.

Getting a Greddy Type S in on Wednesday. I can't work faster than Fedex... After I get the BOV fixed i'll boost it to 16psi on 103 Octane. I should be in the low 13s in that.. I'm only putting about 190rwhp, I don't see why 14.4 is slow for a 2700lb car, but whatever. Maybe it is.. Either way i'll smoke a ITR any day.

a friend of mine ran a 14.7 @ 97 mph with a ~2.5 60' time with his type-r. he has cams, intake, exaust, headers, and a clutch.
i ran a 14.4 (on my stock clutch) and i walk away from him on the highway. of course, i raced him after i got a new clutch. if i only ran a 14.4 with a 97mph trap, and i can beat him....i would imagine that a car trapping @ 101mph could beat him too.

another thing to think about....the type-r in your video is NOT a usdm type-r. it's a jdm one, with a bit more power.
