That makes it an SRI pretty much. K&N makes the best filters...

Doesnt the intake end have to get submerged in the puddle to get the hydrolock?? I mean if it gets wet from a puddle splash it wont hurt it right?

So far ive gone through some hella rain storms with my AEM CAI and so far so good and ive went through puddles just fine, it sits pretty low to the ground but i always peek under there after i drove and it doesnt even look wet at all.

aish...so many ppl against cai...i've had my aem cai in chitown for 3 yrs...now i'm in la...but chitown gets some decent rains in...and hasn't happened to me...i know i'm just one guy...but when u think bout it...are u gonna drive through a 16+" puddle?...u have to submerge ur filter to hydrolock...not just lil splashes here and there...u need a good bit of water to get in there to do some damage...avoid big puddles...when a hydrant broke i drove around it...when my car was sunk in water up almost to the top of my wheels i just didn't start the car till it drained...one of these days i'ma be in some trouble for all this...but i still say go cai...and btw...nice torque gains on the cai nathan...and u can't really compare the cai gains on an 03 v6 with a 93...completely diff...still very nice gains on the 6 nonetheless...go cai!

:werd: just drive around with common sense and you should be fine, and if your that worried get the bypass valve.

you should feel a difference in your accord. I'd say you should save up and do an H22 swap, your accord is perfect for it. Its not as expensive as getting a new car and it will be a lot more fun to drive. If your going to get rid of the car in about an year save up, but if your going to have it longer than throw some money into it and have a little more fun with it. I'm not saying go crazy but get and intake and see where you want to go from there. When I got my accord and started buying stuff for it I knew I'd have my car for at least 4yrs(car payments) so I figured why not make it more fun. use your own judgement. good luck man

the H22 is the engine found in the prelude, and is able to be swapped into the accord. its got about 200-220hp depending on if you get the US version or Japan engine. Because of the emission controls on your car, its easier to do a swap than it is on my 6th gen accord. as for the governor, I don't know much about that on your car.

as for engines I only know the stock engines on the accords for the 5th and 6th gens. the 5th gens have F22, and the 6th gens have the F23(only 150hp)

i have aem cai, and i can totally feel the power i got from it. i'm not worried much about hydrolocking because i live in socal, and my fending lining is intact and SHOULD do its job. also when i put in the intake, the filter actually sits quite high up near the opening. it's not even close to the bottom of the fender lining.

so skabone ur sayin if i invested like 2500 on a new engine id get 200-220 hp? awesome i say. But is this engine new or used? cuz i dont think id spend 2500 on a used engine unless it had low low low miles on it. also how much more would i be spending to have it installed, and then it also says additional parts are needed for it to fit. so what are we lookin at here?
