I forget what type of engine the 4th Gen Accords have, so I can't really give you any definite gains, but it varies because they have an available Cold Air Intake and a Short Ram Intake. Here's my "guesstimate"

Cold Air: 3-5HP
Short Ram: 2-4HP

How big is the risk of hydrolock? Because i talked to someone i know about it and he had a lowerd acura integra and now has a lowered hatchback civic and hes never had any problem with his cold air intake.

as long as you dont submerge the intake, you'll be fine. Even then u can get a bypass valve and be ok, but that takes away some of the gains. You should be fine, hydrolocking is a rare occurence.

if you are going to put a bypass valve on just get a short ram, if it rains a lot where you live you should get short ram if not CAI should be find...i heard if you get short ram with a vented hood the gains would be equal or greater than CAI.

I live in MD. Our rainfall is average, and the peeps ive talked to even with lowered cars said they were fine. I just dont want my engine to die on me. then i wouldnt have n e thing to drive.
