basically the same thing. The only thing im finding anoying is, ya
have to do the fill through that tube where the dipstick came from.
And its which looks like one of the radiator hoses is in the way too!
if you take it to jiffy lube.. they suck the fluid out of yout tranny, from all the little places, even the torque converter, and when they **** up.. you get a new tranny! at least thats what my auto teacher told me
Use nothing but Honda ATF. For the newer Hondas out there, anything else WILL VOID the warranty.
I got the same car, 6th gen 4 door sedan and just did that over the weekend. it was a piece of cake. went to the dealer and bought 3 quarts of atf fluid, since flush is not recommended. the dealer said it required about 2.8 qts. or so of HONDA ATF fluid. it was easier than changing the oil, no filter to mess with! just requires a socket wrench (the middle size that is, but no sockets or keys are used). I'm not sure what is the size, but a "normal" socket case comes with 3 different sizes of the wrench. I used the middle size and it goes right into the bold of the tranny, just like you were to put a socket in it. just drain it and refil! that's it. if you're wondering what bolt to open, when your under the car, with your legs facing outward under the front bumper, the bolt is on the left side on the underside of the tranny almost all the way to the front. it is the only "odd" looking bolt, it looks different that the other bolts on the tranny. it looks like it's made for a giant sized allen key
just leave the dipstick out when you're draining and when it's done, put the bolt back on, clean off the dipstick and put in about 2.8 qts. of HONDA ATF fluid, and pull out the dipstick to check the level once again.
