Default How do I change my Manual tranny fluid?

94 Civic EX Manual trans

Car has 85K miles on it and I just bought it so want to change the transmission oil. It shifts rough going into 3rd so I wanted to see if this might help.

Any links or pics on how to do it?

There is a square-head (3/8") bolt on the tranny. Undo that and the tranny oil spills out. Look higher up and to the left. There's a 17mm bolt to fill the tranny.

That's all you need to know.

For my Integra, I had to use a pump to pump the tranny fluid because the hole sits sideways.

Have the car level when you change the manual tranny fluid.

I just put it on jackstands on all 4's.

3/8" ratchet to remove the drain plug

to put it in, you need to remove your airbox. Then find a tube that will fit over a funnel and put the hose into the hole where you fill it up. Fill it until it starts coming out of the hole.
