its pretty easy

there are 2 screws on the top... near the plastic
remove those, and pull the black trim piece out... it is held on by clips.
then there are 4 screws that hold the cluster in place.
remove those, and the cluster should be able to come out.

If you disconnect the cluster harness, DO not start the car without plugging it back in.

after you pull the white plastic cover off the back (without breaking the clips) you will notice all the A/T bulbs are on the other side all the other bulbs are twist off and can be changed in the back without takeing it appart but the P R N D 2 1 bulbs are installed on the face side of the circut board and not the back PCB side , you don't have to pull the needles but the gauges have to be pulled off the board to get to the bulbs ...

the PRND as well as the other 7 or whatever bulbs that light the needles , odo, and the face are all on the same side. I had to replace the ODO bulb... and from the shock of removing it... the d4 light went out.... i switched it with the d1 light and it worked.... and i didn't need to remove any cover or board off of the cluster.

do you want me to take a picture of it in the morning?

edit: he has a 2000. i hope your not thinking of the older gauges.

basically you pull the back cover off, on each gauge you see 2 tabs retaining it bend them so the gauge comes out on the center of the baord you stt a tab it locks the board in just press on it and gently pull around the board loose until the gauges on the other side comes off. but it's a dangerous job as you can easly mess up the gauges, I repair gauges and mod them on my spare time so it's easy for me to do, then the bulb pulls off to reinstall I usally put all the gauges clear housing and all in press the board in gently almost all the way in then pull the front off with a clean cloth push it in until the retaining clips are all the way out.
