19x8 with 40+ offset...

Default 19x8 with 40+ offset...

will rims with these specs rub on my 2001 ex v6 sedan? i will not be dropping my car either...also what width is recommended for the tires..215,225 or 235?

It's going to be close the front wheel may stick out just a tad the rear will will be right at the fender, rubbing has a good chance.

I would go with a +42mm offset or +45mm to be even safer.
A 225 would be good for the width of the tire, 215 is a good substitute.
A 235 may also rub.

I'd say 215 is more than enough.

on an 8" rim i think 225 would look alot better

my friend had 205's on 7.5 and they looked wierd kuz the sidewall went like / instead of |

The ideal tire width would have to be at least 225. But the offset is not right if you want those wheels to fit. You need at least a +42 or even a +45 offset.
