19x8 with 40+ offset...
will rims with these specs rub on my 2001 ex v6 sedan? i will not be dropping my car either...also what width is recommended for the tires..215,225 or 235?
thanks in advance

It's going to be close the front wheel may stick out just a tad the rear will will be right at the fender, rubbing has a good chance.
I would go with a +42mm offset or +45mm to be even safer.
A 225 would be good for the width of the tire, 215 is a good substitute.
A 235 may also rub.
