Default 6th gen Market Saturation?

Anyone notice the value of their 6th gen going down and down?
I'm a good $4k upside on my car and I have no idea what happened.
My apr is very low and it's a 99 in great condition.
However, my car is worth like $5k!!!!

Anyone else?

I guess I don't keep an eye on the value cause it's worth more to me than what I could sell it for, and I plan on keeping it for a while.

But whenever a new model comes out, the previous body's value usually goes down a step soon after from what I've seen.

sorry ya'll! I meant trade-in value.
I went to take a look at a new accord and was told $4750 trade in.
Body is clean and so is interior. I do have 85k miles though.
I guess the best thing to do is to sell privately if I want to get out of her....

deffinatly private party sale

the dealer would buy from you for 5 and turn around and sell it for 8 or 9

Dealer would mark it at 11 or 12, let it go for around 9 or 10

Trade-in is the biggest ripp-off there is. Just one more way dealer will make money off you. Check your car value at kbb.com or edmunds.com, or just go to autotrader.com and see what similar models sell for. My wild guess your car is worth 8-8.5.

Default trade-in

I was looking to trade in my 99 EX for a 2002 EXV6 a few weeks ago. Anyway, the local Honda dealer appraised my car as shown with 62,000 miles and put it at 7100. Which is about 2 grand less than the blue book lists it at. Weird
