Default The Lowest OffSet

I aint to good at this offset thing but can you tell what is the lowest offset for a 2001-2002 accord with 18x7.5 wheels. I have heard +40mm but is that true My rims are coming in the morning I know there either +40mm or +42mm. Am I safe since I dident lower my Car yet. I know the rims I got comes in 17X7.5 and is stated that the offset is 40mm in the specs, so does that mean my 18x7.5 that I orderd will be +42mm or will it still be +40mm like the 17 inch model. From some reason it did not say on the specs from the site I got the wheels from. I trust the seller anyway I have bought rims from him a few times, can someone break it down for me

i have 2 on mine and i think mines too low. i have 17" rims with kumho ecesta 215/40z/17 tires on them. i feel my downpipe scrapping over the low speed bumps no matter how slow i go. I also have a large downpipe so i'm raising mine up to 1.5. hope that helps

+42 with 18's is what I have, I don't rub, but I'm only dropped 1.25 inches. 42 is cutting it close, if the offset was 40, you'd be rubbing real bad.
