Feel free to correct me, but if a Civic is so weak...
I got my civic at first because it was cheap, low miles, great on gas and it's an LX so I have power everything. After my 1.5 blew I got a b16 because I was throw a whole bunch of freebies. Then I thought hey, this is pretty fun and went on from there. Now it's just a hobby. When income taxes come in I'm going to finish off the turbo and get rods and I think that will be about it. 10-12 psi and atleast low 13's will please me for a long ass time.
I remember what my car was bone stock, and it was fun.
But now, it is so much fun, especially with the turbo and susupension done, that I am trying to decide whether I really want to sell it or not. I am still entertaining the idea, but since it is paid off, I am thinking about keeping it and getting my new Si.

Sure you can go buy a Porsche Carerra GT, but who the hell has the money for that? OR, you could go spend about 15k (just an estimate) on a civic thats in good shape, put all the mods that you could ever want on it, and still have a shitload of $ left over. You could get close to the same numbers of SOME cars. (with the exception of some "super" cars) And you will have a lot more fun in the process by taking a good machine, and making it kick ass.

91 or so mr2 turbo, 90+ 300zxTT,nissan 240sx, toyota cressida *cant remember how to spell it*... buy those cars... and spend the rest of the 7-10K you have left over on mods... lets see what a modded civic can do against those cars in the same price range...
and when it comes to modifying cars...unless your rich... having a shitload money leftover is rarely the case...
h: and i bought my first civic, because it was the only thing i could afford... it just so happens people around my town started modifying them already hence how i got into it...
and i would never buy a porsche...

I would hardly say a 300zx TT is in the same pricerange as a same-year civic, lol, and then after you factor in insurance (especially for someone under 25, and if you have any tickets, forget about it) you could buy two civics just for the price of the Z and a year of insurance lol. I agree on the 240sx though, and turbo MR2s are ALOT of fun.... only thing I think I'd consider letting go of my delsol for, lol.
