Good luck..

I have a flex shaft for my dremel, and it's made some hard to reach things a little easier. Also you might want to try a bigger cut-off wheel. An air chisel would certainly make life easy. You don't have enough room in there to swing a hammer. Taking the rest of the rear brake and hub assembly loose might give you a better shot at it.

Just throwing out some ideas, man.

^^^ the dremel discs state that they are ideal for cutting through frozen bolts and nuts.
-i called up home depot to see if they have any bigger cutting discs.. only have 1.25" diameter disks. the ones i have are just under 1".. but still, .125" is not a big enough difference.
-i found our reciprocating saw(sawzall) but the car wasn't high enough to get a good angle on the nut. the blade would hit the drum assembly
-so i jacked up each side one at a time and raised up the jack stands

-but now i'm worried that the car has rolled back a bit because after the car was set back down on the jack stand i was shaking the car to make sure it was safe but i could hear/feel the left jack stand rocking a bit because the side walk is slightly sloped. now i'm worried about my own safety working under the car. and i can't bring it all back down and move the car forward cuz of the broken bolt!

i'm so stressed

jafro, great idea about the flex shaft, luke that might really help your problem. look into that

but make sure your car is stable, not exactly sure what you were describing. use extra jack stands, and also, put your wheels that you took off under the sides of the car, so if it falls the car isnt on the ground. trust me, it makes it hard to jack it back up.

I ran into that same problem with the bolt that holds the bottom of the strut on. What I did was hack off the nut, pull the whole arm off, push out the bushing with a hydraulic press, and just got new bushings and bolts. I know how you feel man, its kinda a sucky situation.

I just got new bushing and bolts, and took a set of torches to it....took them to my local auto shop and they pressed in the new bushings for like 10 bucks.

are your wheels chocked (or however you spell that  )? Safety first, man... make sure everything is secure. If your not sure, lower it back down, jack it back up and chock the front wheels to make sure it doesn't roll. What kinda jack are you using?

chalked? i think? not sure.

yes, it is vital to block off your wheels, and put your car in gear.

ok after LOTS of pain and aggravation this is where i am:
i am left with the middle section of the bolt stuck in the control arm. i am worried the bolt and the bushing are fused. i'm also concerned on how to knock the bolt out of the arm without bending the arm too much(and messing up the lca-subframe bolt area).
the control arm and trailing arm are free from each other.

plz, i need suggestions on what to do to get the middle section of the bolt out
