Not unlimited funds, but I'm debt free right now and this build will not be going on a credit card. I've been saving for a few months now to do this and I was about to buy another C1 block, but decided against it last night.

My wife will be carting me around in her '02 1.8T Double Yellow Beetle. h:

It also makes it VERY nice to be a parts dealer. You'd shit yourself if you knew how much I was getting the sleeves/pistons/labor for. :rick:

I'm going to be using regular old steel piping for the IC piping. I don't see a need to go with ss piping. I have been thinking about having the Skunk2 IM polished though. There's a local guy here that does it for like $60 or so...

You guys have to remember that I'm a web developer by day, own my own web development business at home, co-own another web development business that is just starting up, I sell parts AND I'm always deal searching. Like my '95 GSR buy... and that old '92 civic I bought. I like making money... it keeps my habbit going. :chuckles:

Thanks for the replys guys.

Your worse than I am. I just bought a wrecked 93 teg LS for $600.00. I just sold the motor and tranny, etc. for $900.00. I still have the full suspension, interior, etc. to part out. I should make about $1,200.00 or more on top of my original $600.00 investment. Around here we all trade favors. I have a friend that works at a bodyshop but can't do mechanic work so I fix his car when he runs into problems and he gives me a shot at buying every totaled import that comes his way. I then in turn give friends of mine a shot at it if I don't want the car. My buddy just got a black 98' hatch with rota's, coilover's, and rebuilt DX motor in it for $2,000.00. It has damage to the rear quarter but he does body work for a living so it's all good. Other than that the car is in perfect condition. I too save for my projects, I am anal when it comes to incurring debt. I guess that's why i'm in collections. I have a sears credit vard and that is it, everything else we buy cash.

I believe that AEBS is lowering their retail pricing for the Sleeves and labor from $1400 to $1075 to better compete with other companies like Darton and GE.

Shipping is extra, of course.

Since you're obviously in with these guys, you should tell them not to call it NOS on their website :chuckles:

Are you allowed to say how much they charged you? I'm not sure I wan't to know
