Default It has begun...

I was ripping apart my motor tonight with the help of swaggs and Sleeper so that I could run to a city not too far away to have new rings put on my pistons to fix that oil burn-off problem I've been having.

When we got to this point, I'm standing there looking at it going 'why... why spend the money twice? I could just send it off to AEBS for the sleeves, o-rings, custom 9.5:1 pistons bored out to 84mm and new rings like I will be doing soon anyway?'

And... there you have it. I'll be sending this block off on Monday for the build I've been needing. I'm building for 400+ whp this time.

Expect updates from time to time on this.

I also got in contact with a guy that does mandrel bent IC piping so I'll be doing that too once the block is back with my recently purchased Skunk2 intake manifold. :naughty: 2.5" all the way!

Also pretty sure I'll be going with either a full race or full race style like lovefab exhaust manifold. This thing is going to haul ass... more. h:

Enjoy!

:loco:

I can't wait to drive the thing at like 20 psi. :naughty:
AND, hear the BOV at that pressure.

I picked up an HKS SSQ BOV that will go on the new piping too.

Full of cash, are we? Perhaps just a high limit credit card?

Wait... what are you daily driving now that the Civic has no "go"?

Damn dude if u had all that money i would like a portion of it, but if it's debt i will opt out. So what do u think these mods that u are doing going to relate to at the track?? 10's maybe?? :goodjob: looking great man.

i'd go with the edlebrock manifold. shorter, fatter runners. bigger plenum for larger throttle body. i'd run ericks 72 mm tb if you plan to boost 20 psi daily.

almost sounds like unlimited funds setup. do a stainless steel exhaust setup starting from a stainless steel equal length turbo manifold. is it a ball bearing turbo you are running?

3" custom exhaust, no cat, all the way back. a waste gate that dumps right into the atmosphere.

yeah it'd be cool.

400+ whp.... hope you doin' some sort of axle upgrade and LSD while you are at it.that much whp. i'd go with longer gears.

ls tranny with lsd.

I was pretty sure the Edelbrock had smaller runners than the Skunk2 until you said that. Maybe they're different for the B-series, but I know the Edel looks anorexic compared to the Skunk2 for the D-series, but the TB is offset a little.
