I can monitor knock with my Hondata.

What good would recirculating the BOV do? I don't have a MAF

By injecting the pressurized air back into the compressor housing, when you let your foot off the gas or shift, the released air pressure keeps the turbo spooled instead of slowing it down with the pressure drop. I understand what you're saying about not having a MAF sensor, but DSMers who do have one don't just recirculate it to keep their fuel curves right, they do it to keep the turbo spooled. It makes the turbo not have to work as hard to re-pressurize the IC and pipes when you mash on the gas for the next gear. So basically even without a MAF, it improves throttle response and lessens turbo lag.

Indeed. And I also recommend water injection with the new setup. My roommate runs anywhere from 1-2 bar (usually about 1.3 daily), and his aquamist system made a huge difference. It didn't make a lot of power, but it definitely made some. More importantly, it kept temperatures down and pampered the motor... we did a his head swap after running 1-2 bar for over a year, and the pistons and cylinder walls looked brand new (this is a motor with 200k on it)... can't chalk that up to tuning (he has a hackjob computer and manual boost controller, thats it). I credit the water injection for keeping that motor running strong.

You can achieve greater than 100% intercooler efficiency with a water injection setup. That's remarkable. And anyone with a turbo should know by now what that can do. It DOES clean your internals. You may have to change your oil more often if you have blow-by issues, but some people have dyno'ed more than 70hp gains with a well tuned system, and you can DIY a WI sysem for under $300. There are a few pre-made systems available with monitoring devices and everything else, but they're 2-3 times as much. If you did it, you'd be the only Honda I've ever seen with water injection.

Gimme some links then man!

The only problem with recirculation is that the HKS SSQ doesn't really have a fitting for it to connect to piping like the Blitz does. Thoughts?

I love having you around Jafro. :goodjob:

I use a HKS SSQV BOV, but I don't recirculate it because I'm building for show. Lots of other people have recirculated it with this same BOV, though. All you have to do is get a rubber radiator hose and shove it on the end of its cone. Then get a pipe welded onto your intake pipe that aims toward the compressor inlet that will fit the radiator hose. I've seen people use clear vinyl tubing, but it turns brown over time.

There's already a Yahoo group dedicated to water injection. Loads of info. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/...ter_injection/

Here's a user testimony: http://www.syclone.freeserve.co.uk/waterinjection.htm

Here's a DIY page from a guy that needs web design lessons: http://users.frii.com/maphill/wi.html

Here's a page with a URL that makes you go, "now why didn't I just type that into my browser and see what comes up": http://waterinjection.info/

and of course, the Aquamist company's site itself where you can pick from many pre-manufactured kits... : http://www.aquamist.co.uk/

NICE! I'll check those out.

The box was packaged tonight and will be sent off tomorrow. :naughty:

I found out that AEBS co-manufactured their custom pistons with ROSS. I haven't heard much about ROSS.. anyone have any good/bad feedback?

I think i'll be getting an AEBS cam seal while I'm at it too.

I can't wait to get this thing back!! Woo hoo!! :yay:

that'd be cool if AEBS would polish your block like the advertised pic h:

that would rock

I know they'll clean it up, but polishing.... I doubt it.

It WOULD be cool though.

Thanks Xplicid01. Jafro only knows his stuff cause he has a DSM and they always break so.... :db:
