Hmm... sound's like this could turn into another H22 is better than B18 and vice versa thread.

Are you going to do the swap yourself?

If you do go H22, get good axles. (Especially if your car is lowered more than 1.75"

GSR is still a bolt-in swap for the most part.

Oh boy, I give up.

GSRX218921890320932, h22 is not the ideal swap for a civic considering extra weight that throws off your suspension. You have to have perfectly straight frame rails, you need good mounts, good axles, you lose ps and a/c in most cases and it's just more trouble than it's worth.

All the real fast street cars around here are built turbo GSRs, so the potential is definetely there to hit 500-600 whp with a nice bottom end. But if you just want to go all motor there are way more parts for B series than H i.e. itr pistons/im etc etc.

You also don't want to end up like this retard

read the newest post on here about the H22, and then either re build your GSR or get another one.

There is not that much extra weight, maybe about 50 lbs, and with a/c removed and p/s removed ( which dont need to be, if you buy the right mount kit). There are no problems if you buy the right mounts and axles in the first place, and if you dont have the $ right away for axles pick up a set of 90-93 integra axles, i used them at the strip, only broke one with heavy 17's. They are easily streetable. Retard? im pretty sure i can drive my car..not into the median!

Watch out for those medians.. you dont want to end up like this retard!!

Ress, please remove the racial slur before HAN is one less Ohio-boy. Don't feel so badly about his harsh generalizations; I don't think I've ever read something Jkan wrote in a polite voice.

Back in the topic of the thread, there is no such thing as a good deal on a motor swap, especially when you want reliability and speed. If you really have a line on a hell of a deal for the H22, go for it as long as you've got the pocket book to cover, in a timely manner, all of the time-consuming details associated with a non-bolt-in swap. That said, I went with the GSR.
