You have power steering don't you? If not, what the heck is your rack leaking? Coolant? Washer fluid?

Yes, I have power steering, and the rack and pinion was leaking power steering fluid. I have replaced it on saturday, the whole thing... cost me $420 (remanufactured rack and pinion and replaced 3 belts on the power steering pump). I don't think theres anything else to steering on my civic, the rack and pinion connects to the wheel hubs and to the steering column, I dont think theres a steering knuckle or anything like that. The power steering pump is separate from the rack and pinion, but all it does is pumps the fluid to the rack and pinion through a series of hoses.

Anyway, once I get my tire (right now I am riding on 2 spares), I'll get alignment done, and see how it goes.

it was a small hole, like about a 1 foot long, but it was ****ing deep, with rough corners - made about 1-1/2" rip in the sidewall and bent the rim.
