The Sol and the '92-95 Civics use exactly the same intake setup.

filtration of the air. I've ran months without it. Man I do love working on cars though. I hate being dirty. I can't stand it. I hate shit up under my fingernails, but I love tinkering with things and tools and stuff.

hum, so if i don't use my stock air tube i woun't drill a hole for it, and if i do i guess i'll just put it back in.

You hate getting dirtty huh? Fast Orange works wonders on me and the new bottles have a finger nail cleaner so it gets the under part clean and on the edges, it kinda tickles me though..

The port on the valve cover that connects to the intake piping via a short hose is for crankcase ventilation, which vents fumes from the VC back into the intake tract, while maintaining pressure under the VC. It's necessary to the proper function of the motor. You know those little filters folks stick on the back of the VCs? Very, very bad.

So if your intake pipe doesn't have the port, make one.

Ran fine without it plugged up for months. Noticed no performance issues whatsoever :dunno:
