Woah...Sky, reading your post invoked a feeling of deja-vu (sp?)...I'm sittin here, eating chicken, watching TV, and reading your post about spraying the inside of an intake tube, and I know I've done this before. Weird.

Ya, I saw it...sounds like an intake to me. Do you also get the nasty hissing sound when your car is idling?

yes as a matter of fact i do, i was wonder what it was, makes my car sound like its a crap box. I'm gona do something with it because it is just dangleing in the bay with no support. I like the stock look but the 2nd tube out of the bottom, how did you do that?

Cuz I had a spare stock intake laying on a shelf in my garage from when I Gave my last Sol a short ram. So I cut up the tube, stuffed it into a filter, and plugged the whole contraption into the bottom of the empty filter box.

i did the same thing as OSX works great. for an added sence of security i drilled a couple of holes in the low spot in the airbox in case any water does make it up there, it will be able to drip out. ive drove in some hellacious rain through some deep ass puddles and water has never been a problem. also you can block that tube in the intake pipe cut the peice you dont need out and vent your valve cover if you want too.

humm now i need to find another stock tube, i just realized that the intake tube from my cheap thing is 3", i think, so i couldn't use it will the stock air box, and 3" is to big anyways. tommarrow is the day, i will wake up and "get my hands dirtty"
