Found out last night that my brother is coming in for more punishment this weekend, so we are going to try and get the roof completely done this weekend, and i guess I need to go ahead and order all of the stuff for the vinyl siding. All of the French doors should be installed next week except for the entry door, which will be in about 2 1/2 weeks. Of an evening and when it is raining today I will be installing recessed lighting and outlet boxes and probably start running some wire to get some more light in the house other than the temporary lights.

Still looking for more suggestions on the intercom/security system as well. I would like to not go over a grand for the whole system if possible.

Just saying

Have you ever thought about any home automation and speaker zoning?

Yes I have. There will be speakers in every common room for when we have get-togethers or just want to listen to music. Each will be configurable downstairs as to which speakers will be on or off.

Home automation not so much because the price tag is way more than I can afford.

Another question. I am going to be putting something up to cover the ceiling in the porches, either beadboard painted white or tongue and groove wood that is stained or naturally finished.

What do you all think? Would it look better with natural wood or white ceilings?

Swaggs, the castle that my soon to be in-laws are staying in have a whole house NuTone setup for front door (unlock also), com in all bedrooms, and a separate system for audio piping with each rooms single control with a rheostat. Beyond pimping!

I can check model numbers for you tonight

Here is the progress from yesterday. I was able to get more done on the roof as well, but it was dark when I got down from there, so you will have to wait till later this evening when I get it all finished up to get the newest pics.

I LOVE the porches. They will dry a much lighter color than that, but I am so happy with the turn out so far, it changes the whole look of the outside, can't wait to get the vinyl started, and the doors (except for the front entry) are going in later this week.
