The front basement wall is almost 9 foot in the ground, but a lot of the lot has to be brought up to grade once the deck and concrete goes down for the basement floor.

Neg. I couldn't bring myself to live in a double wide after owning 2 really nice houses.

Really glad work is being flexible though. If it wasn't for that, I would be about to blow up on the daily because of screw-ups.

I will have internet at the apartment tomorrow, which will make life much easier.

After today it should really start taking shape fast.

there is a walkout on the backside and there is also a lot of rescaping of the land. The front of the house (to the left side of the hole) will be brought up almost 3 feet with dirt and fill to get to the new grade once the walls are set. That is where most of the height missing is coming from.

No work today due to rain, even though I told them yesterday they needed to work late to make sure they stayed on schedule for Thursday. When I dropped by the property yesterday afternoon at 1430 there was no one in sight.

Now I am being told that the walls won't go in till Monday most likely, which makes me ol so happy.

Needless to say someone got yelled at this morning, because the contractor didn't even show up on the job, he called to see if it was raining.

They are good at framing, just asking them to do a little more than they are used to.

1.5" of rain today, probably will be Monday before anything happens.

Got some work done yesterday, but another inch of rain this morning has put a halt to things again.

Might be ready for basement walls Monday, might not.
