Urine or You're Out! o:
If something like this goes through, a lot of innocent kids are going to starve because the poor choices of their parents. IMO there would have to be an increase in child protection services to implement this successfully.
That, and I think marijuana should be legalized and taxed :dunno:
no, you're just lazy.

And that's just it.... I believe programs like that WOULD be step up. Every time you squeeze society, Social Workers are there to catch the overflow. I'm not saying they're always successful, but they're certainly watching.
Child protection services should already be involved if the parents have such a bad problem that they can't work and disqualify themselves from receiving public funds to feed them. But like I said before, addiction is a bitch. Most likely the parents with addiction problems would turn to selling drugs for survival rather than cleaning up and getting a job, and blame the government for not supporting them-even though that's not what government is for.
I still think it's overdue. F anyone that can't grow a pair and pull their own weight.
People who don't do illegal drugs and are on welfare would have no problem with this IMHO. The point I focus on is that even beyond the money if someone thinks they are above the law then why should they even need hand outs from the gov't?
The way I was taught is the constitution protects their right to free speech and to freely do whatever they want to do with themselves BUT the constitution is also set up in such a way that the rights of one citizen do not interfere with the rights of another. Welfare spent on anything but essentials is effectively violating tax payers rights. Maybe they should hand out only food and gov't create clothing vouchers/hand out clothes to those who don't pass... they can pay for everything else with their pocket money instead of drugs.
I've also seen a lot of kids getting free lunches at school being dropped off in benz's in my day.. but thats something else altogether.

I look back now and have to say I'm grateful my parents put down how much they actually made making us not qualify for free lunchs even if it was a struggle for a while.
Fuck yes test them if they are smokin shit they shouldn't be, then their ass shouldn't get aid.
Course if they legalized and taxed little miss mary-j they'd probably make a mint and cut down on the violence a *lil* who knows, couldn't hurt to do it in a 'test' county I guess?
I think an Amsterdam-like policy (which is actually under a lot of scrutiny in Amsterdam right now) would both stimulate the economy (better than selling our children into government-imposed slavery), and take the wind out of Mexican cartel's sails. It would also bridge a lot of social gaps without all of the social problems of alcohol. Granted there would be a few that would still persist.
For instance... the unemployed would be so baked and happy, I doubt they'd look for work. Maybe they can get a job growing and selling weed?
I use to work at a grocery store and people would come in and buy food with their food stamps and then buy alcohol and cigarettes with their cash. Complete bs
