I'm still rocking both the bass trombone and the tenor trombone.

i love ibanez and jackson guitars. i just love the way the necks feel. right now i have a fender squire bullet. and an epiphone les paul custom. for an amp its jsut a 100watt marshall. no stack.

as for a first guitar. just buy one of thsoe acoustics at target. if you get more serious later on, go to your local guitar store. my first guitar was a hand me down acoustic from a neighbor. thing was so hard to play on, but it was awesome. i miss it. i wish i remember who i gave it too.

edit*
hossam i saw you were already playing on a rub and tug. the guys above gave plenty good info.

Jealous of you guys

My current axes:

1) American Standard (California) in swamp ash... :gorgeous:
2) Yamaha FG-180. Great sound, but plays like barbed wire.

I've just got a $60 Brand X (fender) amp because it's all the noise I need for playing in the living room. Quality tube reverb, but not much else. I've also got an 8 track recorder which I haven't used in quite a while

Wish list:

Sound processor for butt-rock solos. My friend borrowed one of these and it was loads of fun.

Bass guitar (craigslist special, nothing fancy)

Mandolin someday

New acoustic/electric. Something like this:
