What keeps my PS3 antiqued is the fact that i have such a extensive DVD collection and to have to go out and buy them to watch them in blu-ray is too expensive. Then when i found out that i can get High-Def rips and make them into AV-HCD(sp) that made it all better in my eyes. The games that i own for my PS3 majority of them are in the wrapper.

In all honesty, the main thing that has the 360 beating the PS3 is online play. If i was to see a game that was for the PS3 and 360, and it also had online capability, i would pick the 360. Why, you might ask, just because i can count the amount of people on one hand that has PS3's and still have fingers left over, where i can't begin to count all my friends that have 360's. It just wouldn't make sense to buy it for the PS3. Yea the graphics might be a tad better, but i'd see no difference since i can only see up to 1080i and majority of the people who have tv's don't have 1080p sets.

I'm not a fan boy of any system, if it's a video game system, i'll buy it. I'd honestly probably not have a PS3 now if it wasn't for the emotion chip being dissolved. Only reason why i bought my 60gb model when i did.

They relied on the BR and now the consumers are saying they don't want to change over to the new format. Sony need to take the necessary change they will get fucked.
New formats take years to take hold in the marketplace, unless the change is forced by the demise of the older format...i.e. video games. Blu ray just took hold as the new format, players are coming down as well as hdtv's, new releases are having large % of blu ray sales i.e. iron man and dark knight. The key to this formats success is in new release and high popularity films i.e. scarface, finding nemo, god father, lord of the rings...etc. in order to get people to start buying movies. People aren't going to immediately replace their old dvd collection with blu ray, but they will start a new collection with new releases and a couple favorites. It will probably take 5 years minimum to replace dvd as the standard.

no point arguing with Tark. The rules are different there.
I hear they still have Betamax in Canada.

We have 360,PS3, and Wii.

I like the 360 the best. Games seem cooler and (to me) the graphics are nicer.. maybe its a function of the games or the TV's they are on?

I'm not arguing just tying to educate him...are Canadians capable of education? Or are they born with the knowledge to post on message boards

I concur, we have all 3 too. If they ever release a blu ray player for the 360 the PS3 will be going on ebayh:

What the hell are you talking about? The PS3 is doing fine. It's obvious this 'article' was made by a some troll. Also, sales for Blu-ray are continually going up. Sony has had a ton of great exclusives this year, too... they were even rated as having the best line of exclusive games this year.

Sony need to take the necessary change they will get fucked.
 Right...

Hmm. I've played all of the major titles on both systems and I still think MGS4 is still the reigning champion of having the "best graphics" console-wise. It just really stands out. Other games are kinda too close to call..
