Official Gun Krew Thread be here
What do you expect? We've got the possibility of a filibuster proof congress and, possibly, the most anti-gun President, Vice President and Attorney General.
There are 2 or 3 more handguns I want to buy. After that, I'm buying ammo and a few rifles that should be safe from any possible new bans.

agreed. I just got a a kimber 1911 about a month ago for that reason. It's not that i'm preparing for anything I just prefer not to pay more and jump through more gun control laws to get one.
i was going to get my pistol permit before november just in case but looks like i missed that deal... seriously concerned that my gun rights - even as a clean record tax paying law abiding citizen - are at risk.
doesnt help that i live in NY, we are about as blue state as they come, gun laws here are openly regarded by courts as "privelage" not as "rights"

My grandpa owns a couple really nice hand guns and I think several rifles. I'm sure he's got ammo too, so here's hoping if he kicks the bucket he leaves some to me.
Exactly, that's my reasoning.... seriously. I still haven't gotten around to picking up a few boxes of ammo for my 30-06 (got it right this time
), I know if I wait I may end up paying more but with my hours being cut, I'll take my chances. Not only may I end up needed that money for essentials, but if things take a turn for the worse, maybe having ammo sitting around for my rifle isn't the smartest idea

I got my XD semi-used (orig owner bought it 3 months prior new and only put ~200rds through it), Glock 30 was a little more used, and the HK was also private sale but brand spanking new, never fired. Private sale at sub market prices ftw!
I think I'm just going to order my ammo online, thats the only way I can be sure I can get it.
so I've been looking everywhere for the upgrade kits for my gun. I saw some promising stuff, they have the 9mm conversion kit so hopefully they will have the .40 and .357 upgrade soon. I think police departments are just cleaning sig out of them.

No I have been stockpiling common rounds for years now. When I see a deal on it (especially .223) I buy a couple boxes or a case if I have the extra money. Just makes good sense because ammo can be traded as a commodity if things go badly and it will also help put food on the table and be used to defend myself and my family if need be.
Paranoid? nope
Prepared just in case? you better believe it.
