Seriously, I went to Bass Pro Shops, Cabelas, and Walmart, and nearly all of the ammo was gone, and BPS and Cabelas had like 5 or 6 handguns left.

I asked the guy what was going on and he said everyone was freaking out about Obama getting elected.

I stocked up before the election. It's not exactly a secret that there is a bill drafted that bans virtually ever semi-automatic rifle as an "assault rifle". With a democrat congress and a democrat president some kind of bullshit law like that will pass. On top of that there have been several states introduce bills (none have passed yet) to either tax ammo out of existence or etch it with a code. The etching idea will not help a damn thing and will quadruple the price of ammo.

 

No I have been stockpiling common rounds for years now. When I see a deal on it (especially .223) I buy a couple boxes or a case if I have the extra money. Just makes good sense because ammo can be traded as a commodity if things go badly and it will also help put food on the table and be used to defend myself and my family if need be.
