so my car got sexually abused up.
if its not your fault wont his insurance pay for your deductable? or better yet his insurance should fix your car. or yuor insurance fixes yours and then goes after his to collect damages
Well, actually it was my insurance policy that paid for the repair.
Because my policy covered damage caused by drivers who didn't have their own insurance, I had to file a claim to get my car fixed.
After the guy who hit me disconnected his phone, I took the note the driver left and the police report to my insurance agent. My insurance company then started an investigation to track down the driver and recover the money they paid me.

So far this thread is full of comedy :lmao:
I would have called my insurance company also (That's what i pay them for)
it not my problem he or she ran into my car:dunno:
If he or she doesn't want their rates to go up they need to watch how the fawk they drive.

this would be considered a comprehensive claim.
no fault only covers medical/injury related expenses. the purpose of no fault is so that if you get hurt in an accident, your insurance covers you so that you dont have to worry about the other guy not having adequate coverage or his company not paying up.
i only read pages 1 and 2 but i dont know, i would be pissed if this happened to me but the fact that the guy had the decency to leave his contact info should comfort you. he wouldn't have done this if he didnt want to make good on it.
what would you have him do? sit there until you get out of work? he didn't really have a lot of options. you should slow down and ask yourself what you would have done if you misjudged the space between your car and somebody elses, hit their car, and knew that there was no chance you were going to track them down in a reasonable time frame. shit happens. get your car fixed and move on.
