Well, actually it was my insurance policy that paid for the repair.
Because my policy covered damage caused by drivers who didn't have their own insurance, I had to file a claim to get my car fixed.

After the guy who hit me disconnected his phone, I took the note the driver left and the police report to my insurance agent. My insurance company then started an investigation to track down the driver and recover the money they paid me.

File a report with insurance and the police for hit and run.
spoke to AAA this morning. most likely i have to pay for the deductible. so this means i'll most likely take this guy to small claims court.

Now you're blowing this way out of proportion. The judge is going to laugh you out of the court room when he asks if you bothered to contact the guy.

you have to pay because you're too stubborn or embarrassed to call, not because of his "i'm really sorry"...

you havent even spoken to this guy yet

how are you going to know if he isnt going to pay?

you're being a real dumbass here, call the guy tell him the deal. if you dont even try to contact him then you have no leg to stand on in court. don't waste the states money if you havent even spoken with the other party yet. court should be a final option not the bitch cop out
